Getting out of the way!

Strange how our minds work. It’s hard to believe that we have been publishing True Blue Spirit for three years, yet those first issues still seem like a dream.

In the early stages of True Blue Spirit’s inception I remember a vision I had during dream time. I saw an arm reaching out from the East Coast and another from the West Coast. They clasped hands in the center of Canada. I took this to mean that eventually True Blue Spirit would reach right across the country.

In spite of my analytical mind getting in the way, this vision has indeed come to pass. Being a member of Magazines Canada has played a large role; and yet many times when I first felt nudged to join—I shook it off. Perhaps I felt it was too much of a corporate type entity for our warm fuzzy magazine. But what I found was a group of wonderful people, just like our readers and contributors, who wanted to help us get the True Blue Spirit stories out there.

We can have all the visions and synchronicities in the world, but if we don’t push our misconceptions, doubts and other assorted garbage out of the way they aren’t worth a pinch of salt. The assistance we’ve received through Magazines Canada’s distribution, training and mentorship programs has been invaluable.

Yes, it’s been three years, and I am still learning to get out of my own way! Thank goodness for the patience of spirit.

Keep well.

Dorothy

World Water Day

March 22nd is World Water Day. It is also the day that talks begin regarding an open pit mine that will destroy one of our beautiful lakes and all the species of fish that abound in it. This has already been approved by our Government and we need to stop it. Please sign a petition to stop this from happening - http://www.protectfishlake.ca/petition.php

Water is a very important part in developing our intuition

Dorothy Engst and Dr Emoto

Water is very much a part of us; in fact we are about 62% water, (an amount that varies depending on our age). Thanks to the wonderful books and research done by Dr. Masaru Emoto, we now understand that our connection with water goes far deeper than we could have imagined.

Water is a very important part in developing our intuition. Not only is it physically healthy to drink a lot of water, it also helps with your extra sensory perception.

I’m going to share three key instances in my life (condensed versions) where water played a key role in the use of my intuitive or psychic receptors.

#1

I had just been out to PEI to see my Father the week before. He had cancer of the pancreas.

Getting back into the swing of work I was heading over to Langley, BC. I was just crossing over the Port Mann Bridge when I felt the presence of my Father. When I say I felt his presence, the only way to describe it is that it felt like I was him and what I was feeling was fear.

I knew right away that the time for him to pass to spirit was here, and he was afraid to take the final step. I remember speaking out loud and asking for an angel to be with him and not to let him be afraid. In the passing of a breath the fear was gone, and I knew my father was too.

When I arrived to my hotel I called his hospital room. My sister answered. “You heard”, she said.

“No…I know”, I responded.

#2

Several years passed and I was heading from Tsawassen to Richmond for a planning meeting with my boss. I was just going under the Massey Tunnel when words came through clear as a bell, “You are going to lose your job”.

I gave my head a shake, but as I continued to drive along I analyzed the words and the voice that said them. Something was telling me to listen.

I’d been working with this corporation for almost 15 years and I knew the drill. If I arrived and only my boss was there, we were having our planning meeting. If she had someone else with her, then I knew the writing was on the wall. And it was.

Having received the clear message didn’t stop me from losing the job, but it did prepare me for what was to come. And this allowed me to make conscious decisions that I would not have done if I had been caught by surprise.

#3

My third scenario happened not even two years later. I was having a leisurely soak in the bathtub when I clearly saw a woman in spirit. This woman was a stranger to me.

When I first saw her, my knee jerk reaction was to gasp and look away, but I managed to stop myself. I took a couple of deep breaths and started to ask her who she was.

I was able to get her name and the name of the person she had a message for. Later I was able to pass her message on.

I am not saying that you have to soak in a tub or hang out on a bridge to develop your intuition or your psychic ability. However, water does play an important role so being well hydrated is beneficial and can certainly help strengthen connections. You’ll notice that many mediums keep a glass of water in hand when relaying messages from spirit.

Drinking pure clear water not only helps your body in a physical way, it helps you psychically as well.

As you focus on your intuitive development, replace some of that coffee, tea or juice you drink daily with nature’s pure clear channel to spirit…and beyond.

Crystal Light Sanctuary

We spent time yesterday at the Crystal Light Sanctuary on Salt Spring Island. Carol and James Henry Spencer (Jim) were wonderful hosts as always. When it came to the mediumship portion of the event, two messages came through loud and clear from spirit and these were happily received by visitors to the Sanctuary. One message was from a young man who had only recently passed over after Christmas. These messages from spirit can be emotional, but they are so worth it.

James Henry Spencer and Allen Engst allowed themselves to be channelers for the healing, which was appreciated by many. Crystal Light Sanctuary only meets the first Sunday of each month. I recommend you pop by for a visit sometime.

Best of all is when we have time to share alone with Carol and Jim. We always return home with an answer to a question we didn’t even know we were looking for. And in the case of Jim, it is often his humble yet sincere words of wisdom that we carry in our hearts for days.

Jim has an opportunity for a venture at hand; one which could potentially make him some good earnings. When I asked Jim what he planned to do with this opportunity he smiled, and in his soft slow speech said, “I already have abundance of peace, love and harmony in my life. I enjoy every minute of every day. I have no desire to disrupt the beautiful flow of energy that surrounds me, I want to appreciate it. I have everything I need.”

What wonderful words that we can all live by.

This was a wonderful way to roll into 2010…and those words will carry me a long way as I will refer to them often.

Keep well.

Sorry to bring your wishes after the fact,
