Reader Response

Every issue we love to share some of the kind words readers send our way. Every time one of these precious emails pops onto my computer screen, or a card or letter makes its way through the mail, by heart warms to know that a reader has taken time out of their day to send words of kindness. I thank you with all my heart. These acts of thoughtfulness generate such positive energy from you, to us, to the magazine…and as Buzz would say, “To infinity and beyond.”

Keep well.

Numerology caught my interest...

Hello, a friend borrowed me her copy of True Blue Spirit and your magazine is awesome!   The articles were all so interesting but the Numerology one really caught my interest.  I've always been drawn to numbers and have heard about Numerology before but seeing the grid with your birth number was fascinating.

Regarding Cheryl Dawn...

I was so glad to see Cheryl’s articles in your magazine.

My mother and I had done a course with Cheryl Dawn last year. It was one of the best days of my life. My mother had an experience with Cheryl a couple of months earlier at the Wellness show in Sidney. Cheryl had given healing to the crowd and then started doing some drumming. My mother was so overwhelmed by the drumming she couldn’t speak she was crying so hard. It resonated with her so strongly.

So we decided to take one of Cheryl’s courses, I don’t remember what the name of the course was that we had taken but it had healing and drumming in it of course, I took this course with my mother because she was just diagnosed with breast cancer a month earlier and of course she was going to fight it with everything she could. I basically went because I wanted my mother to get all the healing she could get.

Well, as soon as this wonderful woman walked into the room I started crying. I didn’t know why; she had the most beautiful presence; she is calm, spiritual and makes everyone feel loved and special. I am a very spiritual person and have my 2nd level of Reiki but we can never have too much healing in our lives, I feel like I received so much love and healing from Cheryl and look forward to doing more workshops with her.

I would recommend any of Cheryl Dawn’s courses to anyone.

Thank you

Funny the way Spirit works...

I received my copy of True Blue Spirit as soon as I returned from vacation.  I was thrilled to see my story in print. I have to commend you on finding the pictures to go with the story.  I don't know how you came to find those particular pictures, but the funny thing is that the rocking chair I spoke of in my story is identical to the picture you put with the story. Also, the picture of the elderly couple walking the beach…if I didn't know better, I would think it was them. Pop always wore a straw hat. And Momma would hold his arm as they walked.  Isn't it funny the way Spirit works? I look forward to each copy of your magazine. It just gets better with every issue. Keep up the good work. You folks are awesome!!!

Pain and Oneness...

Janet, I just read your article “Pain and Oneness” in True Blue Spirit, and it felt as though I was intended to be your audience.  Thank you for writing such a beautiful message.  I will re-read it many times.  Some day I hope I will find other people who think the way you do...so many beautiful discussions could ensue. Thank you again for helping me in my quest to re-direct my own thoughts.

A message from reader Marlene K...

When presented with an amber ball and crystal bible for our anniversary a year ago, the presenter could not have known what was going to happen to me. Although only recently diagnosed, the doctors said I could have had the cancer for years…perhaps it was intuition on the part of my bestower, see what I have put below:

AMBER

Magazine Volume 1 Issue 4 April-May 2009

•  Amber brings happiness - I have never been happier even though I am supposed to be ill.
•  Assists immunity to infection - the cancer treatment lowers my immune system and makes it easy for me to catch infections.
•  Increases strength - since I had the amber ball I put it in the bedroom window resting on a bracelet and every morning I put my hands over it and think "strong".  Strange really as I think I must have transferred this word from a set of gold jewellery with snakes which was purchased over a number of years for anniversary/birthdays when we visited Corfu.  I asked what the significance of the snake was and was told that it was a symbol of strength so when I put it on I believed I was strong.

The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall states -

•  Changes negative to positive forces - promotes positive mental state
•  Amongst its healing attributes it resonates with the throat, stomach and liver - all associated with my particular cancer.

AMETHYST
Magazine Volume 1 Issue 3 Feb-March 2009

•  Amethyst can aid the immune system and is a blood cleanser - again my immune system will be low and the cancer has travelled though the blood to the liver.
•  It calms - I am so calm I am practically vertical - nothing seems to faze me.

The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall states -
•  Strengthens and cleanses the immune system
•  Blood cleanser
•  Reduces bruising and injuries (I will be suscep-tible to this and am told be very careful)
•  Heals diseases of the digestive tract
•  Stimulates the throat

Well, you can see why I was so spooked by this.  All I can say is that it has made me more interested in this type of healing.

I feel great energy...

I am writing to communicate to you how happy I am that your magazine exists; it truly addresses all points of being a metaphysician, the articles are simply and beautifully written and I feel great energy emanating from True Blue Spirit.  I have enjoyed 3 issues so far… and kudos for including the topic of UFOs and “abductions” in your magazine!

Not too far from home...

I would just like to commend you on your new magazine.....I am not sure how long it has been out.  We just received our first copies at the Whole Food Market in Penticton… Very interesting articles on a lot of subjects I am most interested in and they are not too far from home.  Thank you.

High level of spiritual awareness...

The first time I opened it (True Blue Spirit) and just looked at the presentation I was blown away, the colour and the energy is beautiful. But what truly captured me were the amazing articles, the pictures and the way everything was written. It is obvious to me that you are dealing with a very high level of spiritual awakeness with the entire magazine. It is the best quality magazine I have seen.

Not only were the articles extremely interesting and topics of importance to the world, but I felt after reading each one that I knew the authors personally because of the way they were written, from the heart and from the spirit.

Boopsie Boo...

My Boopsie Boo died of lung cancer 2 yrs. ago this past February 26th. Because she was so scared of the outside, we kept her ashes in a beautiful wooden box along with candles on either side. Above this are her picture and an engraving of a poem my husband wrote for her. In the corner we keep a vase with pussy willows which has been there for several years.

One morning a few weeks ago I was sitting on my bed and had a conversation with Boopsie, telling her how much we missed her and loved her. My husband and I were devastated when we lost her.

After I talked with her awhile I bent down to put on my shoes and felt something hit me on the head. It was one of the branches of pussy willows. How could that have happened? Those branches had been in that vase for a long time, and why would one happen to pop out at that moment?

I know it was Boopsie telling me she is still here and that she loves us too. I still cry for her but I know she isn't far from me ever. She loved it when I came home from work at night and I would hold her face in my hands and kiss her cheeks. She loved that and expected it every night. She is forever in our hearts!

Breathing space...

I am writing to tell you how fabulous I think your magazine is. We pick it up at Edible Island in Courtenay. It really is laid out well, great colours, great quality photographs, nice composition, and just the right amount of "breathing space" throughout, in the design.

Greetings Dorothy and Team!

A huge thank you is something that I feel compelled to share with all of you.

As someone who has gone from self help, to metaphysics to the esoteric, thinking that I was somewhat alone on this journey, I breathed a sigh of relief when I came across True Blue.

It gives me great comfort knowing that there are other light workers close by.

Volume 1 Issue 1 - Carnelian...

Following on from reading your Volume 1, Issue 1, article called "Your Crystal for Fall"-

Carnelian, by Erin Lawson & Jacquie Large  on page 19, it gave Graham, my husband, new interest in his engagement ring which he hasn't worn for many years.

You will see from the photograph that it has a centurion's head engraved on the stone and it was only upon reading this article that he realised the significance - i.e. strength and courage of the ancient Romans and to protect travellers from evil.

I am very pleased that he has started to wear the ring again and feel sure that it is a good omen for 2009.

Boost to the grey-day blahs...

Thank you for your vision and energy in creating True Blue Spirit and bringing much to think about, wonder about, open up to - what a boost to the grey-day blahs which gives us time to read, explore and accept that there is so much more than we imagined on our journey.

...there is more to life than we are led to believe

This is a wonderful magazine, a real gem, perfect timing in a troubled world. Thank you and your team for all the hard work you have done so we can enjoy all the wonderful stories that people have shared, helping us to come together, it's very heart warming and makes us feel that we are not alone in our beliefs that there is more to life than what we are led to believe. Also that we are not crazy when we are lucky enough to see things that others cannot, when the veil has been lifted for a split second so we can catch a glimpse, hopefully more and more people will be open to this possibility with the help of this wonderful magazine. Thank you once again, and may the light always shine upon you all bringing you love, peace and joy.

I was drawn to your article on orbs...

I am visiting Vancouver Island and picked up a copy of True Blue Spirit while shopping in Duncan. What a wonderful publication!! I must subscribe.

I was drawn to your article on orbs. I would like to share a story with you concerning my interpretation of 'orbs' as I believe that they are the manifested energy of Spirits around us.

The summer before last I was attending my nephew’s wedding in Barrie Ontario. While getting ready for the wedding at my sister in-law’s house, I went to her computer to print a congratulatory note that my brother was e-mailing over.

Every time I would try to sign in to the e-mail, the computer wouldn’t let me. Now, I’m known in the family for strange occurrences. I asked my niece Julie what was wrong with her computer. "Nothing Aunt Patti, it's you. Strange things always happen when you are around."

After several more attempts I tried a computer in another room, but it didn't have a printer. I had no trouble retrieving the e-mail from this computer and forwarded the message to the first computer for printing. It worked.

As the message of congratulations was being printed, the mouse ran wildly in circles around the computer. "Julie," I Iaughed, "Your computer is doing funny things again".

Julie shook her head. "Auntie, there’s nothing wrong with my computer."

Suddenly a thought popped into my head. "Oh my gosh! It's my Mom and Dad! They want to give Kevin and Tonia their congratulations on their wedding as well."

My niece looked at me and rolled her eyes. "Okay Auntie."

I was so sure of it that I told her, "Let me prove it to you." I raised my hands up to 'connect' with their energy as I said, "Mom, Dad, if this really is you, could you please let everybody at the wedding know that you are still with us, and that you want to share Donnie’s message of congratulations." I smiled and somehow knew they would do exactly that.

The wedding was beautiful. During the reception pictures were taken. My niece came up to me during the reception and said, "Aunt Patti, have you ever seen anything like this?" She held up her digital camera. A couple of pictures of me, my husband and brother had orbs in them. Next were pictures that she had taken of my brother and his son (the groom, Kevin). Next to my brother was an outline of a shape. In the next picture was a comet-like light across the middle of the picture.

There was no doubt in my mind. Mom and Dad had made it to the wedding! Where else would they be, but their first grandson’s wedding?
